The 9 biggest Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City chase cards

The city of dreams is full of some of my biggest dreams for collecting Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City chase cards when the set releases.

In a world where cybernetic enhancements are as easy to get as a cheap washing machine, Cyberpunk TCG's debut expansion is full of some of the most iconic characters in the franchise. From Panam and Johnny Silverhand to the destructive force of nature that is Adam Smasher, there's no shortage of excellent characters to draw from, and the Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City chase cards prove it.

It's worth taking a look at the Cyberpunk TCG rarities before we get into the full list. As the debut expansion, it might be handy to know the difference between a Rare and an Iconic Rare, for instance. It's also worth noting that I base my chase card lists on artwork and, frankly, how badly I want each card, rather than treating them as an objective ranking. Anyway, here are the latest Cyberpunk TCG cards I most want in my collection.

Dum Dum Iconic Rare Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City chase card in front of a blue background

9. Dum Dum - Maelstrom Triggerman #145

Dum Dum may not be anyone's first pick for a favourite character, but the Maelstrom member is iconic for one major reason: he was first seen in the E3 2018 gameplay demo, back when Cyberpunk 2077 was at the height of its pre-release popularity.

The Maelstrom Triggerman card keeps Dum Dum's design devilishly simple. His cybernetic, spider-like eyes glare at you, almost as if you're his next victim, while his grin seems to look straight into your soul. It's a solid card, and a strong way to kick off the list.

Alt Cunningham Iconic Rare Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City chase card in front of a blue background

8. Alt Cunningham - Soulkiller Architect #155

The original developer of the Soulkiller program, and inevitably tied to it long after her death, Alt Cunningham is one of Cyberpunk 2077's most important characters. The idea of becoming an engram is one of the more disturbing aspects of the world, and this Iconic Rare captures that darker side of her story.

With her face obscured in shadow and her digital body rendered in a tainted, dangerous red, this makes for a striking chase card.

Goro Takemura Iconic Rare Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City chase card in front of a blue background

7. Goro Takemura - Vengeful Bodyguard #150

Goro might be one of Arasaka's biggest victims. Loyal to a fault and constantly walking the line between ally and enemy, Goro's Iconic Rare depicts that attitude in a fitting way. He's not actively avenging his boss's death here. Instead, he's meditating in front of the Night City skyline, with a giant hologram looming behind him and breaking the serenity.

In all honesty, this would be one of my top three cards, but the Beta-exclusive version is more to my preference. It's still an excellent chase card, though, and one I hope to pull from one of my boosters.

Johnny Silverhand Secret Rare Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City chase card in front of a blue background

6. Johnny Silverhand - Rocking Renegade #003

Arguably the face of Cyberpunk 2077, Johnny Silverhand is a legend lost to Night City. Lead singer of Samurai and one of Arasaka's biggest enemies, Silverhand represents rebellion against Night City's corporate culture, despite being one of the first people to embrace cybernetics. It's fitting, then, that his Secret Rare card sees him standing on a stage, holding up a flare with a crowd surrounding him and his guitar swinging from his shoulder, ready to fight.

It's an awesome card that, like Goro's, is slightly overshadowed by the more impressive Iconic Secret version from the Beta release.

Panam Palmer Secret Rare Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City chase card in front of a blue background

5. Panam Palmer - Strength Through Family #085

You either chose to stay with Panam or you didn't. That's all I really need to say about this card.

It's a Secret Rare that's as alluring as Panam is courageous. The artwork is simple and sleek, making it a must-own for any Cyberpunk collection.

Jackie Welles Iconic Rare Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City chase card in front of a blue background

4. Jackie Welles - Mama’s Favorite #152

Just missing out on the top three, and featuring a friendly face gone far too soon, Jackie Welles' Iconic Rare fits the character in a subtle but noticeable way. He's not driving the car. Instead, he's hanging out of the window with a pistol firmly in hand, ready to take action. He's not the main driver, but he's just as important.

The only reason he isn't higher on the list is that three other cards are just slightly better in my eyes. In reality, I'd be more than happy to pull this one from a booster.

V Iconic Rare Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City chase card in front of a blue background

3. V - Streetkid #144

Winning partly because it's incredibly easy to write out her name, V's Iconic Rare focuses on the Streetkid lifepath. Instead of being a Nomad or a Corpo, this version of V understands the lower levels of Night City more than any other, making it a fitting take on the protagonist for Cyberpunk TCG's debut set.

The artwork comes from the team at Pandart Studio, whose work shines when depicting combat. An enemy is almost torn in half in the background, while V's Mantis Blades are on full display. It's one of my favourite cards in any TCG, and easily one of the cards I'm most desperate to pull from Welcome to Night City.

Adam Smasher Iconic Rare Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City chase card in front of a blue background

2. Adam Smasher - Metal Over Meat #160

In one of the most apt card names ever, Adam Smasher’s Iconic Rare for this expansion proves that the man was always more cyborg than human. While his appearance in Cyberpunk 2077 sees him looming over you, and he’s usually a force of pure evil in the TTRPG, signalling that the end of a campaign could be near, Adam Smasher’s card here is one of raw power; he holds a Netrunner's head towards the collector or player, his cyborg eyes glaring at you.

It’s an absolutely gorgeous card in all of the wrong ways. There are no neon colours lighting up the streets of Night City behind him, or an almost normal day-in-the-office vibe—well, I suppose this is a normal day for Adam Smasher. It’s brutal, to-the-point, and it is a card worth chasing.

Judy Alvarez Iconic Rare Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City chase card in front of a blue background

1. Judy Alvarez - Braindance Mastermind #157

One of the most popular characters in Cyberpunk 2077, and the clear winner in my eyes, is Judy Alvarez and her Iconic Rare, Braindance Mastermind. A fitting title for the braindance techie, this card showcases Judy completely lost in her editing, giving us a glimpse of something approaching normality in a city where that's increasingly difficult to find.

It's another stunning card from the artists at Pandart Studio, and it ties off my chase card list perfectly. Of course, I made the list, so I knew Judy would take the top spot. But really, it just had to be her. After all these years, Judy remains a fan favourite, and her first Iconic Rare for Cyberpunk TCG feels like a fitting tribute. And no, I'm not counting the Beta Iconic Rare as her initial outing.
