Where to buy Pokémon First Partner Collection Series 2 at retail price
The Pokémon First Partner Collection Series 2 brings more nostalgic Pokémon cards, and here’s where to buy it at retail.
As the Series 1 surges to $80 market price, all eyes are on the Pokémon First Partner Collection Series 2 to give everyone that boost of nostalgia we’re all craving. Sadly, it seems like it’s full of Pokémon cards that people want, meaning the market price is already almost $60 - but don’t buy it on the secondary market. If you’re looking around, you can find it on release weekend.
At the time of writing, stock availability is changing quickly. If one retailer sells out, check back regularly over the weekend, as Pokémon products are often released in waves rather than all at once.
I’ve been tracking stock and helping Pokémon TCG collectors like you find deals for over a year during my stint at Wargamer. I even helped thousands get stock of the Series 1 version, so I’m here to help. Even if you don’t get anything over the weekend, don’t lose hope - restocks will be coming.
Here’s the retailers you should be looking at and bookmarking for the Pokémon First Partner Collection Series 2:
- Chaos Cards (UK) - while it doesn’t seem that stock of the Series 2 set is on Chaos Cards yet, the retailer has a handy lottery system, so you have equal chance as everyone else
- Magic Madhouse (UK) - one of the UK’s largest Pokémon TCG retailers and typically worth checking on release day for new products.
- Amazon (UK) - invitation system, so it’s good to try and sign up for it before you chase it elsewhere
- Walmart (US) - Walmart has released stock of Series 2 a little earlier, but there’s still stock popping up
- Best Buy (US) - typically gets a lot of stock for Pokémon TCG products and has occasional invite systems
- Amazon (US) - Amazon gets stock but collectors have reported of returned and resealed stock - check our fake Pokémon card guide to ensure your delivery is legitimate
Like the Series 1 box, the Pokémon First Partner Illustration Collection Series 2 comes with two booster packs of different Pokémon sets (this time it’s a Perfect Order and Chaos Rising booster). However, the most-wanted part is the Illustration booster pack.

These exclusive packs contain three of nine Illustration Rares based on each region’s starter Pokémon. For example, Series 2 has Johto, Unova, and Galar. As a Totodile and Tepig fan, this selection is my favourite.
If you do manage to get this collection and you get your favourite cards from the special booster pack, it’s worth using my best Pokémon grading service guide to get them graded. It’s not just for value, but also for protection.
Whether you’re buying it for nostalgia, your favourite starter Pokémon, or the chance to pull one of the exclusive Illustration Rares, don’t panic if stock disappears on launch day. Recent Pokémon releases have seen multiple restocks after release, and there’s every chance the First Partner Collection Series 2 follows the same pattern.
