Get the Pokémon 30th Celebration UPCs cheaper than TCGPlayer’s highest sales at Walmart—but they’re still expensive

Some listings of the Pokémon 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collections on Walmart are cheaper than TCGPlayer’s highest sale prices. But don’t expect them to be cheap.

Umbreon ex promo Pokemon card from the Pokemon 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection Night version

The Umbreon ex and Espeon ex promo Pokémon cards may be some of the best Pokémon 30th Celebration illustration cards that don’t exist in packs. Sadly, they’re limited to two UPCs—the Day and the Night variants—coexisting with a bunch of packs and some futuristic rare Pikachu cards. Retail stock is hard to come by, and if you’re willing to pay a little extra (a lot extra), some third-party Walmart listings have them in stock for less than TCGPlayer’s highest sale prices. But expect to pay way above retail.

While the 30th Celebration chase cards may be some of the best chases we’ve had in the Pokémon TCG for quite some time (and with brilliant pull rates, too), the UPCs are some of the most exciting products, thanks to the promos they come with. Although, let’s be honest, the idea of opening 29 packs of the 30th anniversary set, alongside an additional, neat little extra with the Classic Collection pack, certainly sweetens the deal.

The boxes for the Pokemon 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection products

Of course, the promos and packs are the main reason the 30th Celebration UPCs are highly sought-after, but there are other accessories, too. Each Ultra-Premium Collection comes with a playmat, some Pokémon card sleeves, a metal coin, a deck box, and, to top it all off, an acrylic card display. It’s probably one of the best Ultra-Premium Collections that the TCG has ever had, only driving the price up further.

Despite Pokémon Delta Reign releasing this week, let’s be honest, everyone is hoping to get the 30th anniversary Pokémon set instead. Well, I have good news and bad news for you. Good news: you can find stock pretty much anywhere. Bad news: it’s not retail-priced. While the market price is sitting around $430 for each, TCGPlayer has a highest sale price of $730 for the Night version, while the Day version has a highest sale price of $649.99. That’s ridiculous, but it makes the Walmart prices look cheap.

If you’re looking to get some packs, you can grab the Night version for $499.99 at Walmart, or the Day one for $487.77 at Walmart. Now, let’s be honest. These aren’t great prices—I know that, and you definitely know that. But with the Holidays around the corner, sometimes we need to make sacrifices for our presents. I mean, our kids' presents, of course.

However, if and when normal-priced stock comes up, I’ll make sure to share it—so sign up for my Kanto Post newsletter above to be kept up-to-date.
