While most special Pokémon TCG expansions have one UPC for collectors, the Pokémon 30th Celebration line up is giving you two Ultra-Premium Collections - the Day and Night variants. With a huge selection of packs and some gorgeous promos, these are likely to be among the most sought-after products in the entire set. So, here’s where to buy the 30th Celebration UPCs.
For special Pokémon sets like Ascended Heroes or 30th Celebration, Ultra-Premium Collections are the best way to get multiple packs of the latest Pokémon TCG expansion. These sets don’t come with traditional booster boxes or individually sold packs, so they’re perfect for big ripping sessions
Pokémon 30th Celebration Ultra Premium Collection release date and pre-orders
The Pokémon 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collections release on Monday, 2nd November, 2026, and has a retail price of £179.99 / $180, based on recent reports. That’s a little later than most Pokémon 30th Celebration products, but it’s not a long wait from the set’s initial September release. If you’re looking to buy it though, here’s the retailers I’d bookmark:
- Pokémon Center (global): the Pokémon Center is guaranteed to get stock, but queues and demand will be high
- Chaos Cards (UK): as a reputable retailer, Chaos Cards’ new Product Drop system means everyone has a fair chance of getting the new set
- Magic Madhouse (UK): one of the biggest UK hobby retailers, but usually does “first-come, first-served” drops
- Amazon (UK): has an invite system but invites are limited and unreliable, but worth signing up to
- Walmart (US): one of the biggest retailers for Pokémon cards in the US. However, you’ll often need Walmart+ for drops
- Best Buy (US): similar to Walmart, except with a Best Buy subscription. Also, it often requires the mobile app and notifies customers a few days before a drop
- Sam’s Club (US): often has great deals and allows for two-per-person limits, but often requires a subscription
I would avoid GameStop and Amazon (US), at least initially. GameStop regularly sells new Pokémon products at market price or high above retail, meaning you’ll pay extra even as a pre-order. Amazon in the US also has high reports of returned stock being sent to customers, based on community sentiment and reviews.
Pokémon 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection contents
If you do manage to get your hands on the new 30th Celebration UPCs, you’ll get some premium accessories. Each Ultra-Premium Collection comes with two promos, a playmat, card sleeves, a deck box, a metal coin, damage-counter die, and of course, 30 packs - 29 Pokémon 30th Celebration, and one ‘Classic Collection’ pack.
The Day and Night variants come with different promos and playmats, depending on which you buy. The Day one comes with a Futuristic Rare version of Pikachu ex and an Espeon ex promo, while the Night version has a fittingly darker Pikachu ex and an Umbreon ex. You can see the promos below.
Is it worth buying the Pokémon 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collections?
Yes, both the Day and Night UPCs are worth buying. While it doesn’t quite match the amount of packs or the price of a standard booster box, it’s the most Pokémon 30th Celebration packs you can get in one product. Both sets of promos are just an added bonus, alongside all of the goodies - and they’re gorgeous promos, too.
The price is the only hard selling point. £180 / $180 for a Pokémon UPC is £60 / $60 more than the typical Ultra-Premium Collection RRP. But, it’s got more packs, so it works out roughly the same on a per-pack price.
If you can only pick up one of the UPCs, I’d pick the Night one. Moonbreon proves the community loves Umbreon, and I imagine it’ll be the more popular of the two. getting either at retail price will be a success given the expected demand. I’d make this the must-have purchase of the product lineup.
