Pokémon Delta Reign’s missing Rayquaza card will be coming three months later

Pokémon Delta Reign is missing an Ultra Rare Mega Rayquaza ex, and it’ll be a promo for a box coming next year.

The final set of 2026 is almost here, and Pokémon Delta Reign concludes a packed year on a fairly normal note. The standard set is full of Pokémon cards, but not to the extent of Ascended Heroes and 30th Celebration—thankfully. However, it’s surprisingly missing one of its main chases, and now we know where it went.

Delta Reign may be the last Pokémon set of this year, but, like life, death, and taxes, there’s always more Pokémon TCG stuff coming up. 2027 is already looking like a big year for the trading card game, and there’s another new product for collectors to purchase: the Mega Rayquaza ex Premium Tournament Collection.

In a twist that will shock many, this is a Rayquaza-led collection that brings plenty of goodies to enjoy. It comes with eight Pokémon TCG packs, 65 Pokémon card sleeves featuring Rayquaza and made by Dragon Shield, a deck box also made by the company, a plastic coin, and six cards: two that form Legendary Summit Stadium, three foil promos, and, of course, the Ultra Rare Mega Rayquaza ex card.

To be honest, it’s an excellent little collection. Sure, it’s a little strange to have Mega Rayquaza ex shifted into a promo as opposed to being in the Delta Reign card list, but hey, stranger things have happened in the TCG. At least it comes with packs, or else I imagine many collectors would skip a play-focused collection. Although the card sleeves in particular have caught my eye—I love the almost myth-like design of Rayquaza, as if taken by a Pokémon photographer in awe of the Dragon-type.

If you’re looking to pick up this neat little collection, it will release on Friday, 12th February, 2026.
