Pokémon Chaos Rising set guide - all products, chase cards, promos, and more
If you’re looking to collect Pokémon Chaos Rising and finish that master set, here’s a full guide on the TCG’s latest expansion.
Pokémon Chaos Rising is finally available, and it brings a Greninja-led set that - like Perfect Order and Phantasmal Flames - is fairly small. It’s a very close comparison to Japan’s Ninja Spinner, with a few extra cards due to some promos being added, but the main bulk of the set is strikingly a 1:1 transition.
Make sure to check out our full list of the Pokémon sets available, but here’s the full rundown of Pokémon TCG’s Chaos Rising set.
Pokémon Chaos Rising release date
Pokémon Chaos Rising was released on Friday, May 22, 2026, as the fourth Mega Evolutions expansion. As a standard set, it follows March’s Perfect Order, which came after a chaotic period with the Ascended Heroes high-class expansion.
Pokémon Chaos Rising chase cards
The top three chase cards are Mega Greninja ex SIR, Mega Greninja ex MHR, and Mega Floette ex SIR.

Mega Floette ex (SIR)
While not a familiar face for older fans, Mega Floette is a fairly regular ‘mon that appears in Legends Z-A, and a ridiculously powerful one at that. But instead of pure power, Mega Floette ex’s SIR depicts one of beauty instead, deserving of a character that’s practically legendary in all but name.
The kaleidoscope of colors coming from the blocked-out sun shades out the rest of the world, leaving Floette front and center. It’s grace personified (Pokéfied?), and it’s easily one of my favorite SIRs in recent history. Of course, other cards take the win due to being more recognisable, but if I could do it, this would be #1.

Mega Greninja ex (MHR)
I’m not a huge fan of Mega Hyper Rares - my coverage at Wargamer would tell you that - but with a set focused on smaller, lesser-known Pokémon, the choices are limited. For that reason, Mega Greninja ex’s MHR is an essential card in this collection, and the price of it on the secondary market is further evidence of it.
While Phantasmal Flames’ Charizard SIR dominates over the entire set, leaving the MHR to be second place, Mega Greninja ex is the opposite. The all-gold Pokémon card sits as Chaos Rising’s most valuable chase, and if it were for value alone, this would take the number one spot. Sadly, I personally value design over money - in most cases - and for that reason, it comes at a still brilliant second.

Mega Greninja ex (SIR)
If the MHR takes runner-up, the standard SIR is a clear winner. It’s cool, vibrant, and highlights Mega Greninja’s acrobatic skills in such a beautiful way that it’s hard not to admire it as Chaos Rising’s crowning jewel. While it would be lower on the list if it were in Ascended Heroes or Prismatic, it certainly stands out in Chaos Rising, and honestly, it’s a good reason to buy packs alone.
I’ve always been a fan of cards that pop with life and vibrance, so this is the top chase in the set for me, and as an SIR, it’s incredibly rare - so that’s a neat additional bonus.
