An Elite Trainer Box is an excellent way to score some accessories with your boosters full of Pokémon cards, and for special sets, it’s one of the main ways to get multiple packs. With the anticipated release of the Pokémon 30th Celebration ETB coming up, I’m here to help you get your hands on the upcoming box.
During my time as one of Wargamer’s resident Pokémon TCG experts, I helped plenty of collectors like you get your hands on the recent Pokémon sets. It’s not easy, and there’s no guarantee, but there are ways to get the latest products without paying above retail price. So, as you make your Pokémon 30th Celebration pre-orders, here’s where to get the ETB.
Pokémon 30th Celebration ETB release date and pre-orders
The Pokémon 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box releases on Friday 16th September 2026, the official launch day of the expansion. It retails for around £44.99 / $49.99, with the Pokémon Center exclusive version selling for £54.99 / $54.99. Here’s the list of retailers to bookmark on the run up to release:
- Pokémon Center (global): the Pokémon Center is guaranteed to get stock, but queues and demand will be high - you can only get the Pokémon Center exclusive ETB here
- Chaos Cards (UK): as a reputable retailer, Chaos Cards’ new Product Drop system means everyone has a fair chance of getting the new set
- Magic Madhouse (UK): one of the biggest UK hobby retailers, but usually does “first-come, first-served” drops
- Amazon (UK): has an invite system but invites are limited and unreliable, but worth signing up to
- Walmart (US): one of the biggest retailers for Pokémon cards in the US. However, you’ll often need Walmart+ for drops
- Best Buy (US): similar to Walmart, except with a Best Buy subscription. Also, it often requires the mobile app and notifies customers a few days before a drop
- Sam’s Club (US): often has great deals and allows for two-per-person limits, but often requires a subscription
How to improve your chances of getting the 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box
With retailer allocations expected to be limited, getting a Pokémon 30th Celebration ETB at retail price won’t be a walk in the Poképark. Here’s some tips to help score one for launch day:
- Make accounts now: don’t wait until stock pops up - make your accounts and set up payment details for the retailers above now, so you’re prepared
- Disable VPNs, ad-blockers and other extensions: some browser extensions or applications can cause issues with virtual queues and anti-bot measures - you can turn them back on after!
- Sign up for stock alerts: some retailers give you an option to sign up for stock notifications. Admittedly, these can come later and you may be behind other collectors, but it’s worth doing anyway
Pokémon 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box contents
Every Pokémon 30th Celebration ETB includes nine booster packs of the new expansion, a promo Pokémon card featuring Nidorina, 16 foil Basic Energy cards, and other accessories like sleeves and dividers. The Pokémon Center version has the same, but with the addition of an exclusive stamped version of Nidorina and more packs - usually 11 packs.

Is it worth buying the Pokémon 30th Celebration ETB?
Yes. While it’s not as full of packs as the 30th Celebration UPCs, it does offer plenty of packs and a neat promo - one that’s even more exclusive, if you manage to score the Pokémon Center version. I also use ETB boxes for keeping bulk cards and storing Pokémon cards in toploaders, so I’d happily keep the 30th Celebration box on my shelf long after opening it.
If I were choosing just one product, I’d still lean towards one of the Ultra-Premium Collections because of the extra packs and exclusive promos. That said, the Elite Trainer Box is likely to be the easiest premium product to find at retail, making it the best choice for collectors who simply want to open plenty of 30th Celebration packs without spending close to £180.
