I don’t need to tell you how difficult it has been to get Pokémon Ascended Heroes products. You’re here, which likely means you’re looking for a chance to get some - any - packs at all. As someone who only managed to get a couple of ETBs myself, I know the feeling. Thankfully, the Focused Fighters Collection offers another chance to pick up 14 packs, and here’s where you can buy it.
While the Pokémon set has been difficult to find since launch, products like this still offer one of the best chances to pick up packs. The Pokémon TCG expansion is a special set, so no individual packs on shelves, meaning you’ll need to rely on ETBs or other collection boxes (like this one) to get stock.
Sadly, the Pokémon Ascended Heroes Focused Fighters Collection is a Sam’s Club exclusive, meaning you’ll need to have a membership to get it. It can’t be a trial version, if previous Pokémon drops match the upcoming one - you’ll need to have a full subscription.
If you already have one, well, that’s great - you can buy it here when it drops for $54.98 (with a limit of two per membership). However, if you don’t have one, I’d recommend getting the Plus membership, which will set you back an additional $50 for the first year.
Alongside 14 Ascended Heroes booster packs, the collection includes five promo cards: jumbo and standard-sized Mega Hawlucha ex, N’s Zekrom, N’s Reshiram, and Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex. These are reprints of existing cards rather than new illustration rares or exclusive promotional cards.
As for the UK, there’s currently no official reveal as to where you can buy it. I’ll be sure to update this article with the retailer (or retailers) that have it for sale.
Is it worth buying the Pokémon Ascended Heroes Focused Fighters Collection?
Absolutely. Not because of the promos - they’re quite basic, and jumbo cards are unpopular with most collectors - but because it’s 14 packs for $55. For reference, a standard Elite Trainer Box retails for $49.99 and only has nine packs, making this a great deal.
Collections like these are the closest collectors like us can get to opening a booster box with a special set. Without traditional 36-pack booster boxes, they’re one of the best-value ways to rip a large number of packs in one go. The only challenge is being lucky enough to secure one before they sell out.
